Zoo Ostrava Rebrand & Brand Identity

Zoo Ostrava is the second-largest zoo in the Czech Republic and now also a botanical park. Frank Atelier's 2023 rebrand keeps the hippo of its 2004 mark, recognized worldwide, but redraws its head from petals and leaves so one symbol speaks for both animals and plants. The old mark no longer covered the garden, and after more than a year of work the identity rolled out from tickets and maps to wayfinding, merchandise and the web.
